Sometimes I wish I never found this place. At least my checkbook does.
It all started with a picture of the m80's on some silly webpage somewhere. Next thing you know, I have a set....and still not paid for.
So, here I am, after tearing apart my basement, getting new sub floor, putting up/taking walls down, all for a new "media room".....1000's of $$$ later I realize I still don't have my surround/center.
But wait, my old amp just won't do...so NAd 773 ordered eariler the week.
Ok, now I'm ready, 5 mins ago, qs8'd and vp 150 ordered from the FO.
So here I go again ( whitesnake anyone? ) waiting for the arrival of more toys. Oh whatever will I do in the meantime.
Funny thing is, once this is all paid for, I get to do it all over again. I've got a bar that needs some speakers, and a sub, and a room upstairs that I'll be replacing my old cerwin's with M60's, which of course will need a new receiver as well.
I tell you, this is a problem. How do I stop buying stuff? IS there a club for people like me that need help? I can't be alone can I?
Someone, please cut my credit cards in half.. PLEASE

Yes, it's called "AA" (audioholics anonymous).
BTW, nice system you are building!

You're on your own, there. You're going down the only road you've ever known.

Re: how do I pay for all this ???
My rule of thumb is:
1) The money is in the bank.
2) The wife agrees with the purchase.
3) I am good to go (order).
Lucky for me, I have a very sympathetic wife that appreciates my hobby.
Good Luck!

I totally have the same problem. I told my wife that I would be satisfied with my new setup for at least 10 years give or take a couple. But then I started reading all these dang posts and replys about 5.1 to 7.1, bigger bass, bigger speakers, more and more and more and more power!!! . . .need I say more. I think that we are all now heavily influenced by the gosh darn upgraditis thing.
All I want is a new receiver and some mono blocks well and maybe another pair of surrounds, and well maybe a couple more monoblocks and well a real tv would be nice and and and and and I need HELP

I have a bad case of "Downgraditus"
Gotta have some M3s and "tube-like" amplification for the second system......the primary system is pretty much complete

I can decide how best to upgrade EP500 to EP600. Just got to know how it sounds.
