>>So you dont think I will be happy with M60? Not loud enough?
I have M60s. They will play as loud as I want (which is pretty darned loud, both for movies and music) but they are not designed for ear-bleeding levels. M80s seem to be quite happy and clean at ear-bleeding levels, particularly if you have a good amplifier.
One thing to consider is that your current receiver MAY be OK with M80's 4 ohm load as long as you are not cranking them up too far... then you could upgrade the receiver or add an amp in the future when budget permits. Get a second opinion on this though, I do not have any hands-on experience with 4 ohm loads and modern receivers.
EDIT -- do let us know what part of the world you are in, there is probably someone nearby where you could listen to the speakers.

Man, you guys are all so very helpful, I really appreciate it. I am in South Jersey, right outside Philly. My room is approx 12x18x8 with carpet and furniture. I wouldnt be playing them LOUD all the time, just on an occasional Fri nite after a few beers and at that point I would be probably be about 10' to 12' from them. Maybe getting the M60 and exchanging for M80 if need to is the best idea. But I still wonder about those Wharfedale's. Anyone have any thoughts on the denon 2105 and do you think it will handle the 4 ohm M80 well?

I went with that approach. My room is much bigger than yours. I am very happy withthe 60's. I am still in the 30 day demo period but I doubt very much I will upgrade to the 80's. The 60's are plenty loud and the bass is plenty low for me. I am using mine in a 2 channel set up for now. But I did exchange my Polk mains with them and had them in the HT setup for a few
days and with the sub it all sounded great together. I had the upgrade worries for a the first week, but I am really appreciating what the 60's can do. Even in a very large room. One of the things I really like is how great these speakers sound at really low levels. I have my grandson living with us now and when he goes to bed early I have to play the speakers low and they sound excellent. I'm sure the 80's would do the same.

Of course the difference between the two models is only 350.00. If you have any doubts just get the 80's. They go a little lower and much louder. Like you I like the music clear and detailed. Both models do that very well. Sorry if I just added to your confusion.

Just make sure whatever you are powering them with will handle the 4 ohm load.

mreed, your listener "fatigue" comment reminded me that I too used to experience that when listening to my old Bose system at moderately loud levels for more than 10 minutes or so. I currently have an HK3480 (120wpc) with m60's and I couldn't be happier. No fatigue whatsoever. I've played them very loud for long periods of time and they always sound great.
I'm also impressed that late at night when the family is asleep, I can listen at very low levels (so I don't wake them) and they still sound wonderful. I don't think you'll be disapointed with either the m60's or m80's and a decent receiver. Most people are very happy with their decision to purchase axioms and their only regret is usually why they waited so long!
