I went with that approach. My room is much bigger than yours. I am very happy withthe 60's. I am still in the 30 day demo period but I doubt very much I will upgrade to the 80's. The 60's are plenty loud and the bass is plenty low for me. I am using mine in a 2 channel set up for now. But I did exchange my Polk mains with them and had them in the HT setup for a few

days and with the sub it all sounded great together. I had the upgrade worries for a the first week, but I am really appreciating what the 60's can do. Even in a very large room. One of the things I really like is how great these speakers sound at really low levels. I have my grandson living with us now and when he goes to bed early I have to play the speakers low and they sound excellent. I'm sure the 80's would do the same.
