Has anyone used the new MX-3000 remote? Anyone have any opinion on it or if it is worth the expensive price?

Bah, I thought of buying a remote, but guess what? I bought a PDA hp ipaq and it does all that plus allows me wireless internet, email, excel football/hockey pools and less then the remote. Thought I would throw this out as it isnt talked about as much.

The MX-850 does everything that one will do for a lot less money. Granted it's not touch screen or doesn't have the same "Cool" factor but it gets the job done.

I use the MX-3000 remote for my home theater. Although I have not used any other high price touch screen remotes, I have no complaints about this remote. I think you could more than get by with something less expensive; however, it's nice to have the scalability of this remote, not to mention the wow factor. The touch screen is very nice and clear. The only bad thing I have ever heard some people say about his remote is that it is kind of awkward to hold. I personally don’t mind the two handed approach... its not like you have to hold it with two hands anyway. The thing I like most about the MX-3000 is the infinite amount of configurations that you can setup, you can really make it do anything you want. The range is excellent with the mx-250 base station; I can still control everything from the other side of the house with many walls in the way. I believe they are coming or have come out with a mx-350 base station that will extend the range even more. I paid ~$650 or so for the remote off of eBay. All in all, I would do it again. If you have any specific questions you would like me to answer I will do my best. Let us know what you decide though.
