Well I finally actually looked at Hsu's values compared with this list and it is the same looks like Hsu just rounded off the .5 on the figures.
SirClyde, Don't know specifically why the analog is better but I do know that Dr. Hsu told me specifically to get the analog and not the digital and it had nothing to do with price. Sorry don't know if it is more accurate, consistant, easier to read, easier to use or what. But it is what most have and heck if it is a bit cheaper. . .why not.

I have both analog & digal units, I perfer the analog because of the 1/4 db reading of the analog unit apposed to the whole number readout on the digatal unit. Hope this helps.

I like the analog meter because sometimes there is unavoidable background noise which makes the reading jump a bit... and a jumpy analog meter is easier to read than a jumpy digital meter.
