Hi all, New to the forum. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the Axiom line paired with a Yamaha RX-V2500 HT receiver. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums. Don't know about the 2500 but I do have the RX-V657 and had an older HTR model a few years ago. I love the Yamaha receiver and think that it's a great match for the Axioms. In fact, I had a Denon in between my 2 Yamahas and went back to the Yamaha. Just my personal preference. Lots of Denons on these forums but there are a few Yammies too :-)!!!

I am using the HTR-5890 and am very happy with it. If anyting the RX-V2500 will be even better.
I will recommend that you look into the RX-V2600, since it has HDMI switching capabilities etc that the 2500 does not.

I agree with cgolf, at one point in time I had an RX-V650 paired with the M3ti's that I use to have. They sounded great together.

I have looked at the 2600, and decided that the price to value ratio couldn't justify the extra bucks. In another 5 years, I'll look at whatever the new hot video "thing" is, and maybe upgrade then, but I think the 2500 is going to be just fine for now.

The person that turned me on to the Axiom speakers runs a set of 60s with a Yammy 2500, he really loves the combination. He's never posted here though.

They Yammy's will sound great with Axiom's. The only issue is some have had problems driving the M80ti's because of their 4ohm rating. Which speakers are you considering?

I'm thinking of a combination of M3, M22 and a sub, although not sure which one yet. Not quite sure about surrounds, such as the QS line. Do you think they add substantially over using regular bookshelves in the same space?
