He said he was very pleased with the sound, but they were too much for what he needed. He said the days of cranking it up were in his past. Plus, he mentioned that he liked to change equipment every now and then.
He owned a Macintosh receiver and was not into home theater (used the Axioms for stereo). He said he enjoyed the Axioms and their sound, but was looking for something smaller.

Perhaps we'll be bidding against each other?

So larlane (Larry?). You need to tell us what you think of them. Especially after you have listened for a couple of days. They may sound a little bright to your ears at first.

Jeez, Jinx, everytime I try to give you the benefit of the doubt, you once again prove my initial feelings were correct.
Welcome, Larlane....great speakers and a great lttle community here!

I have been trying to rationalize joining the M-60 Posse myself.
Somebody's got the upgraditis flu.
The only upgrade you should be considering is the EP-500!

Folks just need a change every so often, I reckon.
I sold som M60s on ebay - total nightmare when one took a digger off the Fedex truck. Fedex really stepped up though. Great company that stands behind their service.
I wasn't unhappy with my M60s, just itchin for something different (and more expensive ).
