is there any sound quality difference between the 80 vs 60?? I heard the only difference is that m80 play louder, is this true??

I've had both. They are very similar as Axiom states. Some will say that you only need 80s if you wish really loud levels.
IMHO:
The 80's sound better at any level. The extra tweeter and mid make a slight difference in sound quality. Is it a huge difference? No. Is it worth $340 to have their best speaker? Yes.

There are many posts on this topic if you use the Search feature. In general the 60's and 80's are very similar. They both have killer bass, the 80's will go a little lower. The 80's will play louder, but my 60's play plenty loud for me in my huge room, crystal clear they almost make me wanna cry.
