Hello;
Just bought an Epic Master 350, new to home-theater, and I am wondering if I made a mistake.
Just moved into a home and the place for our HT is in a room 13' wide by 18' long. Both ends will not be a good location for the 46" HD - one end is open into the kitchen, the other has a fire place. My original thought was to place the TV on the wall (13' wide) with the M3s on each side, QS4s on the other side .
But, the TV image is best in the corner of the length of the room and the stand is perfect in this location including the VP100 Center.
So, the M3s are along the wall, Qs in the back and the TV off to the side with the center channel - The M3s are sitting on the stands by themselves w/the TV off to the left.
I have not hook it all up yet and I feel sick that I cannot put it along the short end of the room width.
Any ideas? This layout just does not feel or look right, but I may not have any options. I'll post some photos later.
Plus, anyone have a good web link on how to hook up. I have a NAD T743 and was wondering about R/G/B into the NAD.
THANKS
Dave

Dave, welcome. If it isn't hooked up yet it isn't a mistake yet. Don't follow why the "TV image" is best in the corner. If the TV is going to be in the corner, a completely diagonal arrangement of everything, including the seats, might be possible. Another rearrangement would be to to use the 18' wall for the TV and front three speakers and likewise rotate the position of the seats.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Dave, I have a small room and I set the speakers up in the corner so that they play diagonally across the room. It may not look conventional, but I am used to it now. Minus the limitations of my room the music sounds fine.

My room is 18x12, so almost the same as yours. 50" TV is on the 12' wall, and that wall even has an opening into the room, so on that side of the room it is only about 8'. TV with M22 on either side of them fit on the wall. Is it tight and would I like to have a bigger wall for it to go on? Sure, but it works fine the way it is.
