Picked them up yesterday from a local DHL place. M22, VP150, and QS8's from the factory outlet. I really don't see anything wrong with any of the speakers. This makes me very . My dad got me a VTF3-MKIII for christmas (thanks daddyo) and I should have my room re-wired and my 3806 before the BCS championship game.

I do have a question though, I used to work on the other side of the company that is doing the wiring and purchasing the receiver from and I don't think they are capable of setting everything up correctly, as far as placement goes. I am going to have them wire the rear walls for the QS8's and I didn't know how I should go about telling them where to put them. I am going to get an Avia Disc and SPL meter as well. How should I go about getting everything placed properly? I live in Jacksonville, FL and we don't really have any "audiophile" type installers or stores. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks.

Great news!

How big is your room? Are you planning for just a 5.1 setup, or 7.1, or 5.1 for now and 7.1 later? Normally, you want the left/right surrounds to be to the left/right of the listeners. For 7.1, your rears would be on the back wall.

With the Q series I would say keep them at least 2-3 ft above your ears. Mine are actually 7ft off the floor.

Ryan, congratulations on what looks like it'll be a fine setup that'll give you great enjoyment. As far as the wiring for the surrounds, the same suggestion applies as was made in your previous thread: since you'll be sitting almost up against the back wall, spread them out as widely as possible(they're still side surrounds in a 5.1 setup even though mounted on the back wall)and about 3' above ear level.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Congrats. The best thing about the Q series surrounds is they are SO good, you can place them almost anywhere -- albeit within reason. I just moved, and have been busy setting up my basement. Once again, I went through the process of speaker placement. The QS-8 ended up 2.5' above, and even with the back of the couches (or, just slightly back to where people's heads would be... maybe 8")

Of course, my first movie after re-setting up everything was Bourne Identity. (then the sequel... can you really just watch the one. ) Once again, in a different basement -- I'm floored by these surrounds.

Again, congrats -- I hope you are as impressed, and enjoy them as much as I do.
