I purchased the VP150 centre and now just realized that it's rated at 6ohms. I have the Yamaha HTR 5450 Receiver that is rated at 8ohms. Will I have a problem? Should I move down to the VP100?

You'll be fine. Most new solid state AVR's will drive any combination of 8ohm, 6ohm, and sometimes 4 ohm. The Qs8's are also 6 ohm, fyi..

I agree with the other posts, don't worry, just enjoy the music when you get the speaker.

So do you need to set your AVR to 6ohm if it is capable, or leave it at 8ohm and forget about it. I have a VP150 and set my amp to 6 ohm.

Leave it at 8 ohm.
I will elaborate as to why...typical AV recievers go into current limiting mode when set to lower impedence settings. Leaving it at 8ohm mode will allow your speakers to get the full amount of power that they deserve.
