Folks:

Put my order in tonight--M60s, VP150, QS8s...will wait on the sub but am thinking perhaps the VTF-3 (have about a 20x20 room with cathedral ceiling). After some additional thought, as well as talking with Joe at Axiom, I went ahead with the Black Oak...most versatile finish for me since I'm likely to be moving in a year and probably will be getting new furniture at some point.

Thanks to all for your responses to my own posts as well as the great input on all the other posts that helped me make my decision. Hopefully I can figure out the setup stuff, but if not I know where to look for the info!

My last audio purchases were about 12-13 years ago, so I feel pretty much like Rip Van Winkle at times! I imagine this new system will sound a BIT better than the ol' Accoustimass 5s!!! Also, per some of the posts here I am NOT expecting to be completely swept off my feet on Day 1...will give myself some time to appreciate the change and improved sound.

I haven't heard either i.e. Bose Acoustimass 5's nor the Axiom components that you have selected but having moved from Bose 301's to Axiom M22's made the sound a HUGE BIT better. I too wasn't swept off my feet but I was very pleased on Day 1 itself.

Now I have to wait 3-4 weeks for my M60's to arrive in Hong Kong.

I promise that you'll be completely swept off your feet in comparison to the Bose! I have the same Axioms. You will enjoy yourself immensely!

Yup, my VTF-3 is singing happily in our ~5000 cu. ft. living room (with lots of openings).

From a Bose...you will notice a huge difference. Blown away, etc. A Bose acousitimass did not even get close to measuring up to my old little Mirage system(like energy take 5.2). And my new axiom M22, VP150, QS4 system blew me away from my old stuff!
