Hi, I currently have M60, VP150 and QS4. I have moved HT to another room which has opened space from my back and i sit only 9 ft from the TV. The QS4 does not fit the new room anymore : 1> sound worst when listing to SACD [I like direct sound better] 2> couldn't fill the room. [ i figure QS series work best when there is adjacent wall ]
So i'm looking at M2 or M3 now. Which one do you think it will work best with my system? (note: The M60, VP150 is the version 1)
Thanks very much.

M2's have the same midrange driver as your center and mains, so maybe they will match better tonally?
that being said, the M3's have the same midrange / bass as the M60's. Hard to say, really.
All I can honestly say is that you can't go wrong with either.
Are you familiar with the different sound of each speaker? There are many reviews on this board. This may come down to a matter of preference.

Thanks, Ravi.
My guess they are not much different. I figure i would go with M2 which saves me a bit.

I would go with M2s, the M3s are quite a bit bigger than the M2's. You will appreciate the size factor. And they have a crisp mid and upper range, when crossed over at 80hz.

I agree, M2s probably make a better surround due to their size, and would perform excellent for surround channels when used with a sub. M3s are best in a standalone bookshelf music system.

Ya, the M3’s are pretty big. I’m using them for surround backs and although I like their sound, I’m probably going to replace them with some Q’s. I wouldn’t feel the need to do that if I would have used M2’s. They do sound great for SACD. I like them better than the QS8’s. But the Q’s whoop up on them for movies.
So is it six, or half a dozen…..
