Has anyone heard or seen one of these 222 pounders before? Mdesign web page Some Specs Manual I stumbled across it in a local stores flyer (@81% off) and I was curious about it's abilities. I'm not interested in buying it but wanted to see how low it goes for the size and cost. I glanced through the docs and a couple web pages that seem to show this thing as being out in 2004 and pretty decent. They were at a couple of shows where the had 4 of them, 1 in each corner!

Well, it certainly is nice looking (high WAF?). But, with absolutely no evidence whatsoever, my completely unfair first impression is that I suspect they paid more attention to form than function. I don't know why, but I tend to be a bit skeptical when some sort of frequency response is nowhere to be found in the product literature. Interesting idea, putting one in each corner of the room. Maybe Jakeman or Craigsub will spring for 4 of them and test them out. That would be a mere $20,000. (I just love spending other people's money )

I agree with Ajax. It's spec'd as a piece of furniture rather than audio gear.
