I know, I know it's probably stupid
to still use the original remotes.
I guess one of the reasons is because the batteries on the Harmony don't last as long because it is fancier, with a backlit screen. I am also a creature of habit and once I get used to a certain way of doing things I guess I don't like to change. Like I said the Harmony 550 will do everything by itself but the main reason I bought it was for anyone else who wants to watch either a DVD or TV. All they have to do is press one button for either function and everything will work. Then all they need to do is put a DVD in the player, or change the channel on the cable box, or change the volume. "They" can do it all with the one remote. I think I paid under a hundred bucks for the Harmony so it was a worthwhile investment.
