With the pending arrival of my new wide format printer (Canon iPF5000), I’m going to have to buy something to calibrate it and my monitor so my prints look like what's on my monitor.

I have wanted to give video calibration a whirl, but some cursory looks into this relm of A/V convinced me it’s too dam expensive to get into. It looked as if $500 was the bare minimum to buy the gadget and software.

Well now with my printer and monitor needing some attention, $500 looks more appealing seeing how one of those little USB plug in meters that look at the printed test page cost around $250.

So I was wondering if there were any gadgets / software that can do both?? PC Monitor and my projector and TV’s??

If you can’t tell, I’ve done very little research on this subject.

I doubt there's many that would also do a projector, but I'm really not sure.

In case anyone else in entertaining this….

I found a solution. Not cheap, of course.

It’s the Eye-1 Pro hardware bundle with i1 match software. $875.

Ken was right. Printing 16 X 20 photos will cost as much as that A1400. Oh well, I’ve wanted to learn how to calibrate my projector anyway.

Ah dun warned yew...

Of course, that's not a bad price for such a complete calibrator.
