ok, my 8yr old all of a sudden wants to get Guitar Hero for his PS2. Watching some videos on Youtube, it looks like it might be fun, even for me.

Just looking for advice, experiences, or any feedback on GH 1, 2, etc.. that I should be aware of...

He is also thinking about getting the Wii some day, and I've heard that GH is soon to be available for the Wii, so should I wait? I see they over wireless versions for the PS2 as well.

A couple of times a month a guy I work with and I head to one of the Best Buy stores or video game stores in the area over lunch and play Guitar Hero. Usually on an Xbox360 though. I like it when they have 2 guitars hooked up and we can play at the same time.

As for which version to get, I can't comment there as I really don't pay attention to which version I play, and again, there is only one version for the XBox360...

Go get one and an extra guitar. Then you can jam together!

I agree that you'll have fun playing it. The first time i played it I was thinking it was a silly kids game but actually, Its quite fun

Since I only have a Wii I'll have to wait until next year for GH3 before I can try it.
