Mojo, that is perhaps the most diplomatic way I've ever seen anybody call "bullsh!t". Some people think the glass is half full, some think it is half empty. Engineers think your glass is too big.

. As a philospher, I would say that if the glass was in the forest and no one was there to witness it, would it be half anything? As a financier, I would say that the glass is invested in 50% liquid assets. As a physicist, I would say that we don't really know because the act of sampling the glass alters its contents. As a psychiatrist, I would ask, "What did your mother say about the glass?".

Jason, possibly we shouldn't be so dismissive of Goertz; at least they're one of the cable peddlers who name their speaker wires after snakes, so the audiophile will be aware of the oil used in its construction.

Too bad they didn't realize the price was also a typo.

I'll be sure to mention that in my next correspondence to them.

I did like this from the Positive Feedback review: Quote:
Compared to my other reference cables (all of differing designs: Kubala-Sosna Emotions, Audio-Magic Clairvoyant 4D, and Dynamic Design Nebulas) the Anjous are very competitive (even at their $2750 for a 3 foot pair, they are right up there with the others). Differences became issues of, well …being different and such, nothing extreme—more of slitting hairs and such. Yeah, the Audio-Magic Clairvoyant 4Ds are more dimensional than the others, the KS are bigger and bolder, the Dynamic Design Nebulas are more refined and smooth… and the Anjous are more danceable.

I would suggest you fabricate some speaker cables yourself using copper foil tape
Now, THAT'S funny!

As a chemist, I say the glass is always full regardless of how much liquid is in it. The balance is always whatever the atmosphere contains. Now, of course, this leads one to the logical conclusion that if we want to maintain the performance of our speaker cables, whatever we paid for them, we should hermetically seal our cables. This will keep out the water from the half of the glass that will corrode our copper, whatever its purity, as well as keep out the air from the other half of the glass, which will oxidize our copper. And as a percentage of surface area, to keep both of these (corrosion and oxidation) at a minimum one should have the fewest strands possible. Therefore I suggest 12/2 romex as the be-all-end-all speaker cable, which, just for $hts and giggles, should be included in the double-blind study.
