I don't own the Jim Dejulio disk, but I have heard a song from this disk on the AIX sampler, and it is very good stuff. I own 7 DVD-Audio disks from AIX, and they are all outstanding.
Most of what I own from AIX is classical, as I figured I would build a small classical collection with DVD-A, but I also own Laurence Juber acoustic guitar (outstanding sound quality and nice material) as well as Cheryl Bentyne Amongst Friends, which is kind of mellow Jazz standards. The Cheryl Bentyne is quality material, but the Jim Dejulio disk is probably AIX's best known Jazz disk, in terms of quality and content.
So, if you want to hear a quality Jazz disk, you can't go wrong with the Jim Dejulio. The 96/24 DVD-Audio mixes on the AIX disks are amazing, and the DTS and DD 5.1 mixes are also generally outstanding. Now, if you want a disk that will make you just drop your jaw using Axiom speakers, the Laurence Juber disk (Guitar Noir) will do that, as his finger-style guitar playing is tailor made for Axioms. I believe he was in Wings with McCartney, so he is the real deal (as a bonus, my copy is signed by Juber since I ordered direct from AIX early). Whatever AIX disk you order, if you order it direct from AIX, they send you their new sampler, so you can listen to a bunch of their artists to see what else appeals to you.

Yes, all AIX disks have DTS and Dolby Digital tracks that sound great and can be played on any DVD player.

Jim Dejulio was very good, but I really enjoy Big Phat Band by Gordon Goodwin best of all. However, you only get 6 channel sound via 6-channel DVD-A. It will play on DTS and DD, but it's not 6 channel.
