Is that the alternate version, Rick? Sir Reginald for the hearing impaired.

The Avett Brothers -- Emotionalism These guys are rough and rootsy and their vocal harmonies are so sweet. Check them out on iTunes, if you swing that way.

Peter, I just checked out the Avett Brothers and I like them. Different sound, but in a good way.
Rick, a lot of Elton John's earlier stuff is available on SACD. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I tried some sacd titles a few years back but found no great differences between them and redbooks using the MSB Link dac 3.

The biggest difference I came across was the surround mix on "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on SACD--it was done very well.
You got me thinking, I'm going to compare the redbook and SACD recordings and see if I can tell a difference.

I don't have surrounds for my music system, it's a 2.1 system.

Rick, SACDs are better because they have the word "super" in the title. Well, if you have no surrounds I guess the surround mix won't do much for ya! I've been generally disappointed in most mixes anyway.
