Yes the RXV663 has it all in an inexpensive receiver. By the time it makes it uphere I bet the 2308, well 2309 or possibly even the 2109, will have all the same features for the same price.

I hope you're right. I like lots of choice. Actually, I am beginning to think that I should pick up a cheap used receiver in the short term because we are just in the transition to Bluray and the new HD audio codecs.

I won't need 5.1 for another year anyway.

Sounds reasonable and there are a ton of really good ones for not much money. Try e-Cost.com for a refurbed one. I have ordered from them and no problems what so ever.

Just ordered the RXV-3800 !

Its almost double the power of my old HTR 5660 @ 85wpc.
It should do a much better job at powering my Axiom speakers.

Very big difference!!! Still learning how to set it up!!

Every thing is now HDMI ! except wii.

On screen menu big help!

Pure direct button is for audio only. When selected all video is switched off!

2 remotes?

I will try to post a video of the auto sound set up with the mic.
very cool!

Now have to buy more speakers ! 5.1 to 7.1!

Also has pressence speaker option!! thats 2 more speakers! wow
