Hello there;
I am looking to buy a new receiver to go with some M80ti's, qs8's, a vp150, and 2 old Camber 2.5's I've had forever but still like.
I was looking at the Marantz 8200 ($2000) and the NAD T762 ($1400 - $1500). Could you give me any suggestions as to the positives and negatives of either of these that you have experienced? I would also love to hear any suggestions of other options.
The receiver will be used for about 70% music and 30% video. My budget is $1500-$2500 Canadian. The room the stereo and TV is in measures 18' wide by 25' deep.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Rob the newbie in Ottawa.

Welcome, Rob. If you've read some of the posts here, you've probably noticed that some of us believe that automatic room and speaker equalization, such as the MCACC on Pioneer Elites and YPAO on the new Yamaha 1400 and 2400, is a significant advance and quite possibly should be the deciding feature.

Just an info:
MCACC is now a future not only on PIONEER ELITE line, but also PIONEER VSXD912 and it works pretty damn good for delay adjustment ( I still have to adjust db based on recordings )

On the 912 it does not do frequency equalization, only delays and spl.
