A few must haves:

Master and Commander -- You really need to own this one for showing off the system to guests.

Anything by Pixar -- Every single Pixar movie is worthy of the must have, audio demo status

In no particular order --
Transformers
Saving Private Ryan
Batman Begins
Letters from Iwo Jima
U571

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

I was really impressed by the audio and video fidelity of The Jazz Channel Presents B.B. King (BET on Jazz). I think I rented it through Netflix.

I have a great respect for that man but I've never listened to anything of his. That might be a good start. I also added The Cranberries: Beneath The Skin - Live In Paris (Version 2) to my rental queue as I read an excellent reviews about it and I personally love Dolores O'Riordan's voice

The Cranberries used to be my favorite band, as they were the first one I really got into. I listened to them almost nonstop for a couple of years, if not more. Of course that means now it's rare that I find myself wanting to listen to them. Kind of like how I watched the Star Wars movies too many times growing up, and now I can barely sit through any of them. I have to admit I haven't watched that DVD all the way through since getting my Axioms, but I couldn't really get into it before. I think Dolores was a little sweeter in their previous concert video, dubbed simply "The Cranberries - Live."

I found an eBay seller that sells music DVDs/HD DVDs/bluerays. All the auctions start at .01, yes that is 1 cent \:\) . Shipping is around $3 per disc. I looked through the seller's history (eaglevisionusa) and I've seen bluerays sold for less than $20. Thought I'd post this for those who have helped me out and others who enjoy music DVDs.

Cheers
Cam

Imaginary Day Live by The Pat Metheny Group is a good DVD for audio. In the intro his band walk onto the stage shaking percussion instruments and as they move around you can really appreciate the work that the techs put into mic'ing every area of the stage up. Pat's brand of terrifying facial expressions can have a funny effect on you but the musicianship and recording is top notch.

One I picked up cheap was Phil Collins final farewell tour. While I enjoy most songs as background music, the start of the disc can really show off the Axioms.

The track is called Drums, Drums and more Drums and is 8.5 minutes of Drums.. Starts off with Phil playing then another drummer comes in, they go back and forth, then play together and then a bongo(?) player comes out and they all play. This track is probably the loudest I've played my system and the Axioms really shin with the mid range and crispness. Just be sure to have the remote handy as when the crowd cheers out the rear speakers it does not sound the best.

I highly recommend Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere (DTS 5.1) and David Gilmour - Remember That Night

Thanks for the recommendation of Porcupine Tree-Arriving Somewhere. I've never heard of the band but after reading this review of the DVD, I will definitely have to check it out. I will be adding both to my Ziplist.

Porcupine Tree news from their website:
PT will play 2 shows at 013, Tilburg, the Netherlands, on 15th and 16th October. The short run of European shows (sorry no US shows this time) during October is in order to shoot a DVD based on the Fear of a Blank Planet album cycle, and the main body of the filming will take place at Tilburg, where the band will play as much different material as possible during the course of the 2 nights.
If this dvd is anything like "Arriving Somewhere" we are all in for a treat!
