Agree Chesseroo quite a few of the DTS signals seem to be mainly center oriented. I'm on the Disney movie club and quite often change the output to all channels, as they always strike me as only center.

Well i'm glad i'm not the only one who's noticed then.
I will listen more closely as we progress through the series to see if that is truly the case.
The sound overall was good, but damned if i bought a all these speakers to only have the centre channel as the focus of 80% of the movie.

Watched Minion's movie. Kids loved it, surround effects quite immersive with some decent LFE.

I watched The Man From Nowhere, a Korean action movie, when I was visiting my sister. For what it is, it's pretty good. Sure, there's not much to the characters, but the performances are better than they should be, and the action is really well-done. Recommended.

Oh, and this is after we went to the theater with her Korean drama meetup group to see another Korean movie, The Himalayas, which is based on a true story. Also a solid movie. About mountain climbing, as you may have guessed.

Tonight I went to see Creed. Rocky was never a franchise I aimed too much of my love at, and not one I've kept up with, but I was impressed with this new chapter. It could have been so much worse. And of course now I feel like I need to work out more.

Picked up a film called Jellyfish Eyes, on the criterion collection. It's a subtitled Japanese kids movie. Live action and C.G. animation.
Very good even with subtitles my kids were glued.

One-Punch Man, an anime series I'm watching on Hulu, is silly entertainment so far. The premise is this guy is a hero who has trained so hard that he can win every fight with a single punch. This of course leaves him bored and looking for some kind of challenge. Hoping they take it in some interesting directions.

Sicario

I saw it in the theater, and I figured it would be a good audio showcase at home. It is. I wish I had a Dolby Atmos setup to hear it in its full glory, but it's still great.

Besides that, I like the movie a lot. Not a movie with lighter moments, so you might want to be prepared for that if you watch. There are a couple of really well-done long scenes, which you'll probably appreciate on a cinematic level. I'm still impressed how much presence Benicio Del Toro has in his scenes. He really knows how to give his performances mass with an economy of motion.

I also watched Making a Murderer on Netflix this week. I should probably do more reading before having an opinion, but based on what was shared in the show, it's easy to see why people would think there are gaping holes in the prosecution's case.

Finally rented 'Mad Max - Fury Road' on Blu-Ray.

Non stop action with overwhelming LFE (even at -15 Db) at times.

Incredible amount of imagination employed by the movie makers...

Watched the Last Knights the other day. This one is definitely a sleeper film that flew under the radar. Morgan Freeman and Clive Owen star in it. I can't think of anything to complain about, and hopefully there will be a part two. It is a futuristic story of sorts.

I have also become addicted to the Ray Donovan Serries on Showtime. Fantastic writing. It's difficult to not watch episodes back to back without a break.

Loved the second season of the Leftovers. CV is spot on with his take on this HBO Serries.

Watched Ted2 last night. They should have stopped after the first one. It was surprisingly different with crude humor that I found funny, but one was enough.

The new Fantastic 4 was a big disapointment. Nothing good to report.
