Hi, I'm ready to add a center to my m22's, but with my setup, I'm limited to 5 inches height. If the back of the vp100 is short enough I can make some adjustments up to 6 inches and have the front part of the speaker sticking out. Anyone know the back height offhand? Thanks!

How wide is the back of the M22? The VP100 is pretty much identical in size only one edge is straight back from the front to allow a different horizontal placement opposed to the 2 slanted sides the M22 has. Just guessing you should be close if you subtract about 1" off the front face of the M22. When I get home in about 4hrs I will measure the VP100 for you just to be more precise, unless someone beats me to it.

Thanks, I couldn't wait myself and went ahead and put the order in. I'd figure I'll make it fit either way, but it would be nice to get the measurement so I can make the adjustments before i get it!

The widest point in the front is 7 1/2" and the rear of the speaker is a mere 4", boy was I off the mark, the slope on that one side is steeper than I thought!

Wow, I might not even have to do anything, my wife would appreciate that! Thanks Jason! One more question for you; what do you have the crossover set to? I heard 100hz is good, but folks also use 80hz? -Romeo

Start with 80 Hz and stick with it, if you don't have per-channel crossovers. I do have per-channel crossovers, so mine's at 100Hz.

Also keep in mind if your placing the center channel on a shelf below your tv, you can flip the entire speaker over, so it naturally points upward. You really want it at ear level when seated, however, if your limited on location, pointing it upward may help. You would have to flip the grill cover over so the Axiom wording is correct.

I'll have to put the vp100 on top of the tv, which has a 5 inch gap; If I flip over the shelf above it, it will create a gap just under 7 inches which should do the trick. The other option is to get a flat panel tv and place the speaker in front/bottom but the wife wont approve until prices go down. I'm also going to play with the m22 height, I have them on 16 inch stands now but I have 20 inch stands to see if the combo works with the vp100 placement. home setup

The chair must really cause some bad reflections I would simply move the equipment to either side of the TV and then put the VP100 on the shelf angled slightly downward or just put it on top of the unit and angle it down even more. I have mine mounted a few inches below my ceiling and angled down, it sounds great. The M22s should be fine as they sit but tweaking is part of the hobby.
