You do know I was being satirical about the whole political correctness thing, right? No mistaking it. I was maybe a little grumpy about having to be at work instead of continuing the XO comparison. I now get to re-install the Ninjas and see what they offer in an off axis setting. <pull>

No HD video or 5.1 sound yet, but when Netflix starts pushing those out, this box could come in pretty handy. I just started using the streaming options on Netflix. The first movie I watched was Constantine's Sword. The video quality was pretty good in full screen on my 17" laptop. (I liked the movie, too.) My wife and I have watched quite a few movies streamed from Netflix onto a big projection screen and even there, the quality really is not bad. We do not use the Roku, we just hook a laptop up to the projector and it works great. It's nothing like Blu-Ray, but it's pretty close to DVD quality video with very average stereo audio. It's a strong step in the right direction. Jason

Fred, I was really tempted to give zip.ca a go too, after the last round of praise for Netflix around here. But a quick web search for comments about zip made me a little gun shy.
I'm willing to listen if someone has more input, one way or the other, about zip.
I thought that the local FS had a pretty good selection of $15-$20 BR movies yesterday when I was there. Lots of demos promoting BR too. I just started using zip.ca a couple months ago and I'm more than happy, no complaints here. I had one instance where they sent me a scratched up DVD that wouldn't work properly but sent me out a replacement immediately after receiving the dud. I live in Peterborough, and I believe all of the DVDs I've received have come from Toronto (headquarters in Ottawa) with a turnover rate of a couple days.

I used Zip.ca shortly after they started up and had no problems what so ever, other than I couldn't find the time to watch all the movies as they came in.

I usually rip everything to my PC so I can watch them at my leisure and in the proper order since most everything I order are series. Doubt this would be an issuer for most BR orders though.

Thanks for the feedback on zip.ca Cam. I was wondering about turnaround time. If discs come out of TO I, like you, would be in good shape.
