I know there is occasional animosity between this forum and AV123, but since this is a questions specific to Axiom's product I'm putting it over here...
I'm looking at doing a dual-brand setup using Rockets for the front stage and Axioms for the surround. I would like to match the appearance as much as possible; I'm willing to pay extra for this, so the custom wood veneer on the Axioms in rosewood seems to be the best fit. Has anyone seen Axiom's rosewood next to the Rocket rosewood? Any idea what stain would be my best option for color matching? From the pictures I have seen, the Rockets are quite red, much redder than the "natural" stain Axiom offers. It looks like maybe "red," "bordeaux," or "chestnut" would be the closest match to the Rockets going by pictures alone, but it would be nice to hear from someone who has seen both...

Can't answer your question, but I think Axiom could send you a sample if you call them..

Your best option is to contact Axiom and get multiple sample finishes sent to you and see what matches best in person. You might have to pay for the samples.

You might have to pay a small bit for the samples. But this will be put towards the purchase of the speakers....

Unfortunately, I don't have easy access to the Rockets in rosewood , so even if I had a sample of Axiom's finishes I couldn't match.

Can't you get a sample of the rosewood from the other company and then compare samples?

you don't have to pay for the samples if you send them back to Axiom (on your dollar), granted that you order their speakers afterward. If you do not buy the speakers, in order to get a credit you may have to pay for the shipping there and back.

I am thinking as the surrounds are so far away from the fronts if they are off a little no one would really notice much.
What you could do is get a sample from av123 and then have Axiom custom shade your surrounds to match it.
