I have had my speaker covers on for a few months. Today I decided to take them off to remember what my speakers look like. I noticed that one off the mid drivers caps was smashed in Cats!!
Anyways I couldn't get the tape trick to work. probably because the tape I had was not very sticky. However I did get the vacuum trick to pop it back out but now there are 3 little dimples in the cap that won't go away. Has anyone else had this problem? I was wondering if it just needed some time for the material to relax and go back to its original shape. any thoughts?

I doubt they will fix themselves any further but I also doubt it will affect the sound.

It is nice that you got the worst of it out with the vacuum, that is what worked for me on one of my old m60's. The little dimples won't affect the sound, this is just a cap and does not affect the sound.

Yeah, mine have dimples too in the top midrange. I had to use the vacuum as well; tape doesn't work unless the damage is fresh, it seems.

Rubber cement might work, and it'll peel right off after you've used it.

He'd be lion if he said he didn't enjoy a cougar now and then.
