I have one of those Jack Sparrow compasses.

I just spent a week in Belingham Wa on a buisness trip. I liked it. Nice area, neat town, nice people, lots of cute girls, great beer (thanks Tom). Still too crowded for my tastes, but not too bad.

They're cute 'n cuddly alligators. Really. You should try petting them.

I haven't lived in many places in US, but I definitely liked San Diego. It is the nicest place I have been so far in US. The climate is really nice, lots of tourists and nice people!

I really enjoyed my visits to Seattle and Portland. Beautiful cities with nice, friendly people. A big plus for Portland is the great mass transit system. These cities may be too large for you but they did not seem that way to me as I have lived in Houston all my life.
