i was thinking about getting the denon until i saw the onkyo on amazon for 30 bucks cheaper. Ive never owned a reciever other than onkyos so i may be biased. But is there any reason i should still get the denon

I would compare features and if they are similar, then performance wise they will be similar. What speakers are you driving them with?

DJ, it might depend on what originally attracted you to the 1909. Unless the 1909 has some feature that you want which the 806 doesn't, the 806 would appear to be preferable.

The $618 delivered price on the 806 is a good deal, but an even better one is the sale price of $549 on the factory refurb now available at Shop Onkyo . If you register for "Club Onkyo" you're eligible for the sale price and an immediate $10 credit, which would reduce the net price to $539, with free shipping. In addition, you'd receive a 5% credit(about $28)which might be applied against a future purchase.

Get prepared to enjoy great sound on your M22s, as I have for the past seven years.

Thanks for the link to that web site. I was looking at the denon mainly because all ive ever owned was onkyo recievers and polk speakers. I guess i was just thinking of trying something else this time.
