Best buy has this receiver on sale now for 600. I was thinking of picking it up tomorrow instead of the denon 1909 i was gonna get. The pioneer 1019 is coming out soon too would it be better to wait for that.

I have had the 01 since it came out (can't remember how long ago that was...<1 year I think). I am really happy with it. I use it as a pre/pro for an Emotiva UPA-7 amplifier. I really like everything about the receiver (except for no button on the remote to switch to the Multi Ch analog input) and I'd highly recommend it. I have an 8X series Elite too and I'm a fan of Pioneer Elites.

You can solve that no multichannel input button problem with a Harmony universal remote. There is a discrete code for the analog input, there's just no button for it on the OEM remote.
Don't understand why Pioneer is against multich buttons on the remote. Heck, on my SC-05, 'Sirius' and 'XM' each have their own button. But not the multich input.
