Take this time to build your stack of demo material. \:\) For some BRD new selections, scene 2 from Bolt and any of the action scenes from Quantum of Solace work pretty well.

Bryston is a good, Canadian, power amp maker. But getting 7 channels of 200 Watt+ power that's stable into 4 Ohms isn't going to be cheap no matter where you look. Though you could just get a 2-channel amp to start for the M80s, and run the rest from the AVR.

I think you are really going to enjoy the system. I'm interested in your comparison of the M22s to the M80's in terms of imaging.

they are expensive .. anything similar to the Emotiva? the xpa-3 is 599$ + shipping + taxes + exchange rate.

And yes, I do intend to power all QS8 through my AVR. I will probably connect all seven to the AVR and see if it works.

Please do try all channels powered by the AVR. Because what you've ordered is pretty much the same setup I'm headed toward, with the same Pioneer too.

This reminds me of a post by Alan that I came across trying to figure out the whole amp power thing. It helped me understand some of JohnK (and man others) was talking about, while seeing the utility of bigger amps and better amp sections in AVRs. I'm sure I'm the last one to see it, but I'll post anyway.

Congrats on your purchase LucRaymond ! That is a sweet setup! \:\) . You have enough Axioms to cover both the upstairs and downstairs .

Charles,
Thanks for posting the link. Since it goes so against what one would 'think' about amp power, I should read that and other similar articles weekly! ;\) So I bookmarked it again... \:D
