Well, I would like to spend more on a sub, but a larger TV has taken priority.
From what everyone is telling me that the EP350 would fit the bill for my application. Something to think about I guess.

You could also look to SVS from Sonicboomaudio the PB10-nsd is a good performer and not too expensive, around the $600 cdn mark.

My understanding is that there is a substantial difference between the 350 and the 175. I'd go for the 350 with the 10% off from the outlet. And Randy's room is 116' long times 74' wide. Oh, with 41' ceilings.

EP350. I listened to the 175 in a 20x12x8 room. It just doesn't have enough displacement. Its probably OK for music, but there was just no impact for movies.
The svs pb10 is probably a reasonable alternaitve at a lower price point.

I have not heard this sub, but it is well-reviewed and, at $649, closer to your price target: Outlaw Audio LFM-1 EX. I have an Outlaw preamp/amp combo which I can highly recommend. Like Axiom, Outlaw is an internet-only retailer with a 30-day trial period. The only downside I see is that you need to keep pmbuko or BigJohn around to plug that port to really get the low, low 16 Hz bass.
