It was this morning at 3 AM, where I read about http://adarkroom.doublespeakgames.com/ I figured I'd check it out for a half hour or so to see what it's like. At 9:30 AM I had beaten it.

I don't recommend you try it. laugh

I COULD beat it now, but there's so much ... undiscovered area.

There are some things in the area that makes it easier to beat.

I just beat it. Whew! The thing that got me most often when I was exploring -- after I'd "leveled up" to the max -- was running out of frickin' water. Sheesh.

I run out of food more than I run out of water.

Amateurs.

I probably only died three times from resource exhaustion.

Yeah, but did you explore the entire map?

Yes, I did. Just always made sure I wasn't too far from home, or a place I where I could refill. Of course I spent a good portion of my youth playing games that had very similar rules, and after the first couple failures my second nature kicked in.

Anyone tried the indie game "Slender man"? It's based on the meme of the same name and is available free Here.

The concept is simple. Run around a 3-D world and collect 8 pages pinned to random places. Slender Man is hunting you down. The catch is that the more you look at him to see where he is, the faster he catches up to you. You have no weapons, all you can do when you see him is run away and try to resist the temptation to look back to see if it's working.

Mediocre graphics and very-simple gameplay but they have done an awesome job in creating and building tension. It really gets you into it. I've showed it to a few people now, all of whom have nearly jumped out of thier chairs at some point.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.

Pinball FX 2

I've owned it on the Xbox 360 for quite a while, but I also haven't turned my 360 on in a long time. It was on sale on Steam recently, along with the additional tables, so I purchased it there. I don't think I'll ever get around to buying a real pinball table, so this is a nice substitute. But oh, how frustrating. I remember being pretty decent at most video game pinball titles, including this one, but now that I'm playing it again I feel like I'm not doing nearly as well. I don't like how much my reaction times have slowed.

But besides that, I think they're doing a good job of keeping pinball alive in an affordable form, and I like that it allows them to do things that would be impossible on real tables.

Don't Starve is pretty fun, at least in the little bit that I played, but I've never been the greatest at resource management-type games.

The Bridge is a pretty good puzzle platformer, but I'm already to the point where I'm hitting my head against the wall a lot.
