If you haven't heard the new band with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith...they rock....

I had not heard, and now I am enlightened.

Old guys can rock, too!

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

Being a pretty big Van Hagar fan, and have generally enjoyed Satch's work, I was disappointed that I couldn't attend Chickenfoot's recent local gig at the Commodore, a club venue, which was part of their warm-up tour.

I just watched a Satriani concert last night that I'd recorded from HDNet. Killer stuff, even if it was not the most exciting concert presentation ever seen.

Got the CD. I wasn't impressed the first time I listened to it. I tried it again today in the car and I have to say it is pretty good. Maybe I'll crank it on the M60's this weekend.

I heard that Van Halen with David Lee Roth was working on a new CD as well. Now that will be something.....

I bought it yesterday as well as I had lots of driving to do.

The Amazon reviews...both good and bad... are correct. The lyrics are kind of silly and simplistic, but if you don't expect anything deep it seemed like a fun romp. I'll try cranking it a bit tomorrow at home.

Was that a music review or a flashback to a one night stand?

I was exited to hear that they were going to be nearby in Halifax this summer but then watched Hagar's concert special on HD-Net and lost all interest. He was totally washed up in this performance both in his singing and in his stage presence.

Glad to hear it might actually be a different story with the new band but since I saw all the other folks at that particular venue, I'm going to save up my fist shakin for AC\DC in August!!!!

I really, realllllly, wanted to see Greenday in Montreal too and had a line on some great tickets but got the "We can't afford to travel this summer" speech. Which I had to admit, is actually true. We had some silly surprises money wise recently but you'll not keep me away from AC\DC! Already have the tickets and we are both exited.

Checked out Chickenfoot on Utube, they're not bad....but seriously, have all the good rock band names been taken already?
