Hi All,
this is my first post I have been reading posts and I have a question. Has anyone used the clarke transducer instead of subwoofer?
I have a pair of DCM 750 and a H/K avr65 I am thinking of adding QS8 VP150 any thoughts?
Thank You
David

are you talking about a tactile transducer? I have heard good things about the aura bass shakers, the butkicker and the clarcks but they are definetely not subwoofers and they defintely don't replace a subwoofer. The transducer just adds to the LFE while the subwoofer creates the LFE. Go buy a QS8, VP 150, some mains, a sub, and if you have cash left over buy a tactile transducer.

I agree with Hawkson that a transducer is definitely not a replacement for a subwoofer. A subwoofer produces sound you can both hear and feel. This is very important with both music and movies.
A transducer is basically a vibration device that you attach to something solid -- which in turn vibrates to produce a tactile sensation of low bass. I wouldn't buy one unless you already have a subwoofer.
