Welcome back, Bren!

And, Jack, thanks for the recommendations. I'll add those to my Netflix queue!

Another welcome back!

Jack, thanks for the movie links. Yes, you are correct about the Dam Busters practising their missions on old dams in Britain, in fact many years ago I visited some relatives near the Welsh border who took us into Wales for a bit of sight seeing and saw some of the old dams that they practised their runs on.

Welcome back Bren!

Murphy's War is a good one, starring Peter O'Toole.

I remember watching The Dam Busters a while back, good movie!

If my Speakergrrl account weren't banned, I'd have had her welcome you back, and probably even had her give you her myspace page URL and cell phone number. But I digress.

Good to see you around again, and best of luck with your newfound freedom!

And Jack, thanks for the movie tips. Good stuff. Quick question - do you happen to have any tips on getting them past the wife-beast that guards the Netflix queue?

Anytime, Sean. \:\) I'm both a huge movie fan and a World War II history buff. Put those together and you can see why I'll watch almost any WWII flick and enjoy it. That's partly why I hesitate (only for a second or two, however ) to recommend movies. I'm not all that discriminating and we all have different tastes.

I'd be surprised if you enjoyed every one of those movies, but if you can find two or three you really enjoy, then I've done well.
