2" more. 4" more is the M80s.
I'm also not quite sure how you would mount something that's already 13" deep on the wall, with rear ports, and with most of the weight at the front of the speaker.

Personally, I'm very skeptical of the combine two different speakers for one channel idea. It just seems like asking for impedance, time matching, phase, and other types of trouble. I've been doing it with bookshelf M22 and on-wall M22 and I haven't noticed any of these problems. I think that M50 and M2 would present even less problems.

Logistics aside, I just wonder what M50 and M2 (in vertical alignment) sounds like together? Edit: I'm guessing better than M60, but worse than M80.

M60's sound theatrical, bigger, and impressive for watching movies than the M22's.
I, however, mostly listen to music, and prefer the midrange and clarity of the M22's. Interesting. Is that with or without a properly tuned subwoofer? How large of a room? How loud? What type of receiver are you using? Inquiring minds want to know.... Went ahead and just put that review in my signature, since it should be useful to people. Kidding aside, I'm not so sure the M2s would have all that noticeably better highs. It looks like they both might share the exact same 1" tweeter and the cabinet shape does not come into play nearly as much for tweeters as for the other drivers. The only real difference is a high x-over of 2 KHz for the M60s vs. 2.7 KHz for the M2's, which actually means less highs in the M2 are being produced by the tweeter. (not implying they should be the same, I'm sure they landed on those numbers for good reasons)
But then again, I've never heard an M2 and I'm sure there are a hundred more factors at play, which puts me back to "I'm not so sure" in either direction.
Just thinking out loud, really I guess.
