Thanks for all the wonderful pictures and descriptions of all the events. I'm looking forward to the Chess diaries volume 2 and more pictures from Mark.
So wish I could have gone, and would have but am just too broke at the moment. I would have had to sell my Axioms to attend and that would just be too ironic. As already said, maybe I can hope for the 40th anniversary get together.

I hope we can manage to arrange another one sooner. I had too good of a time!

Yea how about sometime during the winter months, that's about the only time I can pre-arrange any substantial time off throughout the year. The weather in South Florida is awfully nice in December and January.

I was kinda thinking of something closer to Sirquack and dllewel (mid-westy-southy) but I agree that it would be nice not to have to plan the get-together around snowplow schedules

That might not be a bad idea John, y'all would certainly be entertained if I was anywhere around with snow on the ground.

I completely agree Mary. I never really got much of a chance to talk to you and I REALLY wanted to be able to get to know everyone there. The dock party was a lot of fun, but I unfortunately can't filter out the music enough carry on a conversation once the volume goes above easy listening.

Hey fredk, the blind listening test sounded like fun. Do you know if a speaker shuffler was used?
Is there any set of measurements on that B&W speaker, which one is it? It would be interesting to note if the idea of "preferred sound is scientifically measurable" help up in this blind listening test. I plan to start up another thread to put up my thoughts on the listening test. On the measurements, I think Ian put it very well during the talk on the VP180 when he said that measurements are absolutely essential to proper speaker design, but they only get you so far. You would need a full family of measurements and probably some knowledge of how things might show up to make any sense of anything. Honestly, I have no idea how the differences between the two speakers might show up.
