So as I mentioned, I'm moving to a new condo. As we were trying to figure out where to mount the TV in the bedroom, I said, boy, On-Wall speakers would really look nice, don't you think? Which then elicited the typical wife-answer of "no, the TV speakers are just fine"
To make a long story short, she agreed to get the M22 On Wall speakers. Then I said, oh, we gotta get the VP150 On Wall as well. To which she replied "it'll look stupid with the TV surrounded by speakers....all boxed in like that."
So then this braniac shot back with "well, if we can't have the standard L/R/C, then there's no reason to get it"
She stood up, walked away with "that works for me!"
D'OH!!!!!!
Does anyone have a nice pic of in/on-Wall M22's and 150?

You are better off with just the left and right. If you get the center, then you will want surrounds and a sub too!
Also, I would get a hammer and knock big holes in the wall where the speakers would go. Tell her the choices are speakers or holes. (I moved my speakers when my wife moved in.)

I've posted pics in the past of my setup. Here's the link to one of the threads. There are also a few installs of the in/on walls that are much fancier looking than my fairly plain install. Hopefully those guys can post link as well for you. Good luck!

Honestly, if I were just doing on-walls flanking a wall-mounted flat panel, I would only be looking at L & R anyway.
I don't see a need for a center when the L & R are only separated by the width of a screen, unless, as was said, surrounds and a sub are being added as well for a full HT experience.

I think 2 channels would be sufficient.

I would just get a divorce. :p Best thing I ever did! My advise is that it’s better to beg forgiveness than ask permission at that price point. If she wants a divorce over a set of speakers then your marriage was doomed anyway.

Boy...some bitter (ex) married folks on this board! Good point about the center channel (L/R distance etc.) So I just placed the M22 On-Wall speakers. Thanks all.

While the divorce options suggested are a solution, they also seem a bit extreme. How about you just paint the grills so that it blends with the wall. http://axiomaudio.com/paint-speaker-grilles.htmlIn wall speakers with this done would just about disappear. But, having a condo this might not be the best option. If you get on-wall speakers, with a custom finish that your wife picks out and paint the grills then she may be much more happy.
