As I posted earlier I was all set to purchase a complete surround system. The day before I was going to order, a used pair of 16-46 pc +'s went up for sale. I couldn't resist. The only problem is it ate up most of my budget at the moment, which leaves me with a 5.1 setup consisting of polk rm6700's. They are great speakers for a sat but they only go down to 120 hz +- 3db. Just to put a little bass up front to blend with the svs's and seeing as this is going to be mostly used for HT I was thinking about picking up a vp150. Question is how far off do you think it is going to sound with 6700's as the mains? It will be about a month before I can get the m60's to finish the front setup.

fastlane, you are going to do some serious structural damage with a pair of SVS 16 46 subs! Polks make some good speakers for the price, but there's no doubt you do not want a center channel to match them or it will hold your upgraded system back. I recommend you get the VP150, live with how much better it will sound than the Polks, and just count the days until you get the rest of your Axiom speaker compliment.

Yeah, I told my wife that we had some dark haired twins coming to stay with us. I think she was less impressed when she found out they were subs, LOL. I was hoping as 70% of movies come from the center that it would be worth the upgrade even if it doesn't match the polks perfectly.
