Hi everybody;

Please forgive my ignorance but is there any way that I can use my old integrated amp to drive my front speakers? How would I do this if it were possible? My new receiver has preouts for various channels but I don't know where to plug the RCA cords into my old integrated...

Thanks in advance;
Rob in Ottawa

Rob, you would connect the left and right main channel pre-outs to any left and right inputs on the integrated amp designed to input line-level signals. Probably CD is the most likely choice and there might also be TV inputs which do the same thing. You wouldn't use the Phono inputs which handle signals much lower in level. Are you sure that simply using the amps in your new receiver wouldn't be as good or better?

Thanks; I'm glad to hear that the CD inputs should work.

I have a Sima PW-3000 integrated amp which was made by Simaudio before they changed their name. The reason why I was thinking about using it was because it can easily drive 4 ohm speakers and I was dreaming about buying some M80's.
Thanks for the info...
