I field tested the boots today. At first my feet were a little cold but after about ten minutes they warmed up and my feet felt really good. I hiked through a snowy field with a stream running through it and stood about 6 inches in cold running water for a long time and my feet maintained temperature and felt fine. I also liked the fact that when I broke through the snow surface and my foot sunk down deep into snow that the top of my boot was not going to let snow in.
Overall I am extremely satisfied. I may order a size smaller for comparison.
