I went to a NAD dealer in my area and auditioned the T743.

I liked the sound alot!! The sound was clean and there was no audible distortion. Does anyone use NAD receivers with their axioms? I'm looking for a receiver in the 300-600$ price range. Does anyone know if I could get a good Nad price online from a trustworty dealer?

Also, is the harman kardon sound similiar to the nad sound?

I have the NAD T742 and my axioms arrive tomorrow.

without a doubt get NAD from www.saturdayaudio.com . I got my NEW T742 ($399!!) for less than other online places were selling the refurbed units. they are quick to ship and are an authorized NAD dealer.

YAWAonline.com sells NAD and is authorized. Their advertised prices are MSRP but if you call you might be able to get em down a few bucks. They have great service and i would reccomend them. Honestly if you went to this local placed and auditioned it and everything i would just get it there. Its not really nice to use some place to audition gear and then go online to buy it a little cheaper from some other place. know what im sayin?

Not to mention you have the dealer right there and dont have to worry about shipping costs etc.

I had the chance to compare the top NAD receiver with the Arcam AVR-200. If your dealer has both you might want to try that before you buy. Arcam has a new model coming out in a month or two that might be worth waiting for.

I believe the new Arcam you are talking about is the AVR300, MSRP I have seen on this is about 2k, well out of the price range of the original poster.

I bought my T752 from Saturday Audio and had no problems with them and got a great price too.
