I am about to purchase the Epic Grand Master Theater package and need some input from Axiom users. I have a 20 X 25 room with sloping ceiling (8ft. to 10ft.)a wall of glass sliding windows and wood flooring. Couch and love seat (cloth) about 13 ft. from the TV. Will be running a Yahama HTR-5650 (80watts) and a Htachi 57" HD TV.
I know the towers sound better but have to go with the package M22ti due to design constraints. Also QS8, VP100, and EP175.
I know there is no magic answer but I need to know if I have enough power for the room size, if the Yamaha is a good match for the Axioms, will the sub be powerful enough to move air throughout the room, and any other thoughts or comments from experiences out there. (ie: how does this package sound for you?)
Thanks for your insight.

See my system pix referenced here. My room is 18'x27', hardwood floors, big glass windows, open corner, no drapes, no carpet, etc. Despite all the perceived acoustic negatives, sounds great. Run via a Pio 45TX.

Hey, thanks for the pics. I've only seen these on the Axiom's website so it's nice to see how they look installed. They look really good.

Hey oldskool,
I am pretty sure you discussed this before, but i'm going to ask again.
Did you consider putting that flat screen above the fireplace?
It seems that it would make for a less awkward room configuration esp. with the seating.
The setup looks fantastic though. Great job on the ceiling mounts.

chees, not sure if you did ask.
Yeah, thought about the fireplace mounting. Actually may do it by this summer. It's a 50 year old house w/ untaped drywall on walls and ceiling in living and dining room. Previous owner painted over the cracks which are now returning. In order to properly fix those cracks, my contractor suggests taping and replastering. I may go that route, but wait a little because that whole process makes a HUGE mess w/ the dust.
However, I may not use the fireplace because the viewing height is a little too high when I sit on the couch. I may end up removing the shelves on the right of the plasma and mounting the plasma on that wall. Don't want to mention it yet to the wife, after a long HD DirecTV install this weekend, I think I've used all my waivers for a while...

Oooh that long wall would be great too.
A nice quiet fire to the left with a heart pumping love story in front in HD.
The wife would love it!

The only drawback I can see with putting the TV on the blue wall is that it would get a bunch of glare from the window during daylight hours. Blackout fabric would take care of that nicely, though.

yeah, we're in the process of looking at drapes for those windows. that should relieve the light from the windows. Fortunately, it's roughly a south facing window and the yard is covered by 30' pine trees, so no direct lite coming in.
