Thanks for all the BD wishes. Not sure how John knew it was my birthday, but I appreciate the gesture nonetheless.

I'm nursing a bit of a hang over today. A couple friends came over and cooked my favorite meal, chicken and dumplings. They used Keller's cook book (French Laundry chef). Turned out great. Had a 2001 Hartwell Merlot that was amazingly good and a few other bottles that I vaguely remember. They also made me some Butterscotch ice cream for desert.
