Seen anything I LIKE lately?

After pondering that question, I realized that since I got the speakers, the last month has been a non-stop love fest with re-listening to my CDs and re-watching my DVDs. Pretty much everything I have seen lately I like, even more so now that I can hear all that it is to offer.

I'm not even sure what is available to go and see at the local theater right now. I may be diverted even a bit longer since I have found out that the county library system has over 5000 DVD titles available. I didn't know that until last week. This weekend will be devoted to an 8 hour marathon with the extended versions of the first 2 LOTR movies.

I guess in keeping with the original subject matter of this thread, I am worshipping at the altar of Axiom and SVS right now. With the addition of the SVS, I'm kind of like that Circuit City commercial - "So, do you have any movies where things blow up?"

It also appears that I am a co-conspirator in a thread hijacking. At lease I hope I am.

I have a great deal of respect for all who post here.

I am always late to the party so have a good laugh when you hear that I have found, and am addicted to "Everybody Likes Raymond"

I actually just bought the season1/2 of the Family Guy a week ago so I've been immersed in that. I'll tell you, I was never able to 'get into' it when it was on TV, but after watching it I can't figure out why. It has to be the mostly intelligently written comedy since Seinfeld left the airwaves (well maybe some earlier Simpsons too). They're alot like South Park in the way they refuse to pull punches. Recommended for anyone with a sick sense of humour.

Excellent tips, everyone! I thank you!!

Completing our viewing of the "Sopranos" DVD collection left us seriously depressed. We tried to like "Sex and the City", but just could not get in the groove. We like "Raymond", too, except are currently wondering whether their increased attention to the children this year indicates Jumping the Shark.

I really like being able to get quality series TV on DVD - it allows for "smaller bites" of viewing, and a longer relationship with the characters.

I was addicted to 24, but I'm Tivoless, and have missed too many episodes this year. When they release Day 3 on DVD, I'm there.

I'll check out the Family Guy. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Yeah, I've been watching the repeats of it on Comedy Central, and half the time I just sit there wondering how the hell they managed to get stuff like that on TV. Fantastic show, even if I do get a bit sick of Peter every 2 episodes or so.
