After being in Georgia the past two weeks on business, I finally got to use the Radio Shack sound meter. First, let me say now that the speakers are balanced, it does sound much better.
I'm curious though, the difference between the highest and lowest reading of the five speakers was 6 dB(the front left was -3 and the left surround was +3). I was surprised there was such a difference. I realize that a lot depends on the room, but is this normal?

John, as you said, a lot depends on room acoustics, so that doesn't seem unusual. Also, note that the QS8s are rated as 2dB more sensitive than the M60s.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.

Good point. The right surround was +2.
It's nice to know I have the forum to use as a resource for questions, even occassional stupid ones!
