the old brackets were pretty flimsy, I used wall anchors as well.

i used these to install my QS8's into the celling since there were no studs where i wanted them to be, and changing the location would have been less than ideal. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051IA...R1GT57B75MVVS2QEach anchor is rated for 79lbs, so they should have no problem holding the 13lb QS8...

But that rating is shear force (ie perpendicular to the drywall), not pulling force (ie OUT of the drywall). You need a toggle.

oh, another question.
with the QS8's, is it better to install them at 90 degr. or more at the back, like at 110 degr. ? would 110 degr. give a better rear soundfield than at 90 degr.?
they each would be about 5 ft. away from my ears, and the fronts are 6 ft. from my ears. the room is 9 ft. wide.
J.B., The optimal location depends of your room acoustics and your personal taste. As an example, Ian (The Ian) prefers his side surround QS8v3 surround speakers slightly ahead of main seating position.

I didn't know anybody actually preferred them there.

I had mine there in my old place. Didn't like it, but I also didn't have rear surrounds. I'd say those would be necessary if you were to mount them in front.

In my living room, I was going to mount the side surrounds about half way between seating position and tv, with 1 rear surround for a 6.1 setup.

you mean "The Ian" uses Axiom speakers in his own home! ;-)
