I wasn't into the Bee Gees, but one of the founders died today at the age of 62.

They had over 20 hit singles (unheard of!) BEFORE their first foray into disco. Great writing, great singers---- with wierd voices, but a great blend.

I'll second that Bob, to me their sound was a combination of higher pitched for sure, and to a slight degree, some what feminine. But like so many, I did, and still today, enjoy their music.

I watched their Vegas concert DVD One Night Only a couple of weeks ago, hoping that Robin would pull through.

Some BeeGees' songs I've always appreciated:
New York Mining Disaster, 1941 To Love Somebody Holiday Massachoozetts Words I've Gotta Get a Message to You Lonely Days How Can You Mend... Run to Me How Deep is Your Love Tragedy I Started A Joke
Amazing and diverse collection of song thoughts.

Sad news. I have always liked the Bee Gees.

I'll have you know that I paid at least $20 for that disc! Not saying that I'm not cheap, but I did pony up for that one.
Your list of favorites includes many of mine as well.

Me to Rick, people have always associated them with Disco, but they have a lot of other, non disco, material.
